Lost Sheep

‘I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out.’ Ezekiel 34:11

Some people believe that once they have accepted Jesus as their Savior, they have a permanent place in heaven. If God already knows where you are going to end up why should you try to please Him? And if you really believe that God knows everything – why would He have to seek any one out? Wouldn’t He already know where you were and why would He have to look?

He has given you the ability to choose. He has given you the ability to make decisions. Sometimes His method of searching you out is to draw you nearer to Him so that you choose Him. That you have done the searching for Him and because He has given you the ability to make decisions, you choose Him. A servant who chooses to stay in a house is more content than a slave. He was our servant when He came on earth, and He is asking no more that what He gave in return.
